Our Family

scribblesvt.com and Scribbles

brought to you by the Jarecki’s, who have family owned and operated the business since 1994.

We are. . .

 Debby

Deb Jarecki, with her husband and business partner, Joe Jarecki, started Scribbles almost 15 years ago after moving to Vermont from California. Deb's favorite thing about Scribbles is seeing how happy folks are in the store....how they laugh at the cards and eclectic items....how excited a couple becomes as they find the perfect wedding invitation for their most special day.....Deb also adores how pleased most people are to have Emma greet them at the door and realize that their dogs are welcome inside also. Deb’s favorite things to do outside of work are having dinner and sharing a good bottle of wine with family and friends, walking in the lovely Vermont woods with her dog, Emma, practice yoga, and ski.

The littliest car Jenny has ever seen! Krakow, Poland Jenny

Jenn Jarecki joined the Scribbles team at the ripe old age of 11 and has been working here, off and on, ever since.  After graduating from Tufts in 2004 and soaking up the shy San Francisco sun until 2006, where she worked at the adorable Hello!Lucky, Jenn moved back to Vermont to manage the downtown shop. She absolutely loves the clean air, daily visits to her favorite local restaurant Stone Soup, and working for a locally owned, family business!  We suspect she's a little partial.  Jenn’s favorite companies are Snow and Graham, L2 Design Collective, Egg Press, Hello!Lucky, Saturn Press, and Local Wisdom.  When she's not hocking the family wares, Jenn might be watching too many movies, hunting for the best vintage clothing in town, or flitting to country and folk records while obsessively cleaning her kitchen.

  Jane

In addition to representing Scribbles in the community, Jane teaches yoga to people of all ages.  Yoga leads Jane to officiate ceremonies, serve as a board member for Local First Vermont, and to an impressive event close to her heart : Liberate Music & Arts Festival, created by Jane and her partner Ben Lanza.  Jane recognizes that people need a healthy, happy way of celebrating life.  Jane approaches work with a sense of gratitude for her free Vermont way of being and out of responsibility to preserve local business and the environment.  Jane loves Saturn Press, Eastern Sun Printworks,  The Unemployed Philosopher's Guild, Chronicle Books, and Cavallini.  Read more about Jane Jarecki at janeyoga.com.   Check out Jane's Yoga Blog here! Aloha!
