After moving from California in 1994, the Jarecki family opened Scribbles; we happily remain family-owned and operated today! Scribbles is, without question, a true blue mom and pop shop, supported by a staff of bright, friendly and creative young women.

From greeting cards and boxed notes to resume paper and action figures, each item available is hand-picked.  Our amusements and card wall pass many a lunch break for downtown employees, all of whom receive 10% off at the store.  We adore our truly awesome regulars, many of whom stop by daily to purchase a card, pet the pups, or chat.  Thanks to our local media and loyal shoppers, we're labeled "Home of the Perfect Birthday Gift" and "Vermont's Premier source for Fine Stationery."  Out-of-town visitors love Scribbles too, for the quality of our product, our helpful, friendly staff, and the uniqueness of our artisan lines.

Scribbles supports the community by donating on a weekly basis and contributing to the preservation of Church Street's independent culture and vibrancy.  We're quite happy to be here on Church Street nearly 15 years in business, working to keep the small, family business a functioning part of American culture and commerce, all the while serving fresh paper!
