Seating Cards

Seating cards can be displayed simply or creatively, how can they compliment the theme of your wedding?

  • Seating cards greet guests at the entrance of your reception and inform them where they are seated.
  • Often they are handwritten or given to a calligrapher with your guest list.
  • If the seating card is flat, it will come with a small envelope.
  • On the envelope is written the name of the guest(s) and on the flat card, the number or name of the table at which they are seated.
  • If your seating card is tented it will most likely have no envelope and both the guest(s) names and their seating assignment are written in the front.

Helpful Hint: What is the difference between seating cards and place cards? Although they can look exactly the same before printing, seating cards inform your guests what table they are assigned to whereas place cards tell them precisely which seat at that table they will be enjoying your reception from.
